Ahead PDF to Image can help you extract PDF pages as picture files. The application has a nice interface, whose visual layout is consistent with its support of batch processing. Therefore, it is unlikely that even inexpert users will have difficulty while using it. Even so, it comes with a help file providing detailed instructions about its use.
Regrettably, the converter does not allow adding complete folders to the conversion list. Instead, you should add files one by one. Only three operations can be performed on this list: adding new files, removing particular items or clearing the list altogether.
As output, the application supports practically every popular image format, including JPG, BMP, PNG, GIF, TIFF, PCX and TGA. You can also configure the desired output resolution or set the color range to full-color or grayscale. Further options are also available for some of the formats. It is a shame that the program does not support using individual conversion profiles; therefore, all the items on the list will be necessarily converted to the same output profile. In case you do not need to convert the whole document, you can set an output page range. However, this option is absolutely awkward when you are dealing with multiple input documents because it is unlikely that you want to convert the same page range from all of them.
Ahead PDF to Image can help you solve the problem of extracting PDF pages as images. However, in my opinion, it still has some conceptual issues to solve before it becomes an ideal choice.
